USM Board of Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life and Safety Meets April 12

Baltimore, Md. (April 10, 2024) – The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life and Safety will hold its next scheduled meeting at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 12.

The committee will vote on several academic program proposals. Those program proposals are at Salisbury University (B.S. Engineering Physics, B.A. Music Therapy); Towson University (B.S. Biophysics, B.S. Interdisciplinary Physics); University of Baltimore (M.S. Artificial Intelligence for Business); University of Maryland, College Park (B.A. and B.S., International Relations, M.S. Quantum Computing); and University of Maryland Eastern Shore (B.S. Aviation Maintenance Management).

The committee also will hear two information items. Those are the results of the periodic (7-year) review of academic programs and a 5-year enrollment review of new academic programs.

There will be a vote on whether to reconvene in closed session to discuss an item exempted from public consideration under the Open Meetings Act. That item is a discussion of recommendations for the Board of Regents Student Excellence Scholarships.
