USM Board of Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life and Safety Meets May 14

Baltimore, Md. (May 13, 2024) – The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life and Safety will hold its next scheduled meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14.

The committee will vote on a proposed academic degree program at Bowie State University, a B.S. in Virtual Reality and Gaming.

The committee will also hear several information items. Those items include the 2024 institutional programs of cultural diversity annual report, a USM Strategic Plan: Vision 2030 update regarding alternative credentials and innovative pathways, and the campus safety and security report.

Other information items are a status update on test-optional status across the USM, an update on Pre-K through 20 initiatives, and agenda brainstorming for the committee’s meetings in 2024-25.
