USM Board of Regents Committee on Research and Economic Development Meets January 31
Baltimore, Md. (Jan. 30, 2025) – The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Research and Economic Development will meet at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 31.

USM Executive Director of Economic Development Lindsay Ryan will lead a summary of updates regarding venture development and major programs and resources for commercialization across the USM.
Phil Robilotto, associate vice president in the Office of Technology Transfer at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), will discuss technology commercialization at UMB. The committee also will hear an update regarding the Maryland Momentum Fund.
Karl Steiner, vice president for research and creative achievement at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), will give an update regarding UMBC enterprise research. Finally, the committee will discuss recognition of research innovation excellence.
