Regents' Education Policy Committee to Meet January 23
ADELPHI, Md. (January 17, 2008) - The Committee on Education
Policy of the University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents will
meet Wednesday, January, 23, 2008, at the University of Maryland,
College Park. The public meeting will convene at 9:30 a.m. in the
Margaret Brent Room on the Second Floor of the Adele H. Stamp Student
Union.
Action items before the committee include:
- New academic program proposals for a B.S. in engineering at
Frostburg State University and a B.S. in environmental science and
technology at the University of Maryland, College Park;
- Towson University trimester pilot program.
In addition, the committee will receive reports on the system's
regional higher education centers, institutional SAT profiles, textbook
costs, and patterns of enrollment for transfer students.
