Regents' Finance Committee to Hold Workshop on USM Capital Budget Priorities

ADELPHI, Md. (May 15, 2006) - The Finance Committee of the University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents will hold a workshop Thursday, May 18, to develop guidance for USM's facilities budget plans for the next five years. The workshop is scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm at the Columbus Center, 701 E. Pratt St., Baltimore. The meeting will be held in the multi-purpose room in the Center of Marine Biotechnology inside the Columbus Center (part of the University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute).

In addition to members of the full Board of Regents, USM Chancellor William E. Kirwan and the presidents of the system's 13 institutions will participate.

The workshop will help prepare the Finance Committee for its June 22 meeting, at which it will consider capital budget recommendations for consideration by the full Board of Regents June 23.
