Regents' Education Policy Committee Looks at New Programs, Enrollment Projections, March 12
ADELPHI, Md. (March 7, 2008) - The Committee on Education
Policy of the University
System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents will meet Wednesday, March
12, 2008, at
Bowie State University (BSU). The public meeting will convene at 9:30
a.m. in the Special Collections Room on the second floor of
the Thurgood Marshall Library.
Action items before the
committee include:

Board of Regents
statement of guidance on the development of graduate programs concerning the environment;

New academic
program proposals for a B.S. in information technology and B.S. in
nursing at Frostburg State University; and a M.S. and Ph.D. in
environmental science and
technology at the University of Maryland, College Park.
In addition, the committee
will receive reports on the system's P-20 initiatives, campus crime statistics, enrollment
projections for 2008-2017, extramural funding, and the racial and gender
distribution of faculty at USM institutions.
