Regents' Finance Committee Meets January 29

ADELPHI, Md. (January 23, 2009) - The Committee on Finance of the University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents will meet Thursday, January 29, 2009, at University of Baltimore. The public session of the meeting will convene at approximately 11:30 a.m. in the Bogomolny Room on the 5th Floor of the student center. The student center is located at 21 W. Mt. Royal Avenue, Baltimore City. The meeting will be preceded at 10 a.m. by an executive session of the committee.

The action items before the committee's agenda are:

University of Maryland Eastern Shore: renovation of Somerset Hall for the School of Pharmacy;

  • University of Maryland, Baltimore: Institute of Human Virology Division of the School of Medicine support staff services in Africa and the Caribbean;
  • USM's aggregated renewable energy contract;
  • University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP): amendment of ground lease with Southern Management Corporation (Graduate Hills and Graduate Gardens apartments) for installation of fire sprinkler system;
  • UMCP: the office of information technology network refresh and upgrade of the campus IT network.

The committee will also review the current status of capital improvement projects across the system.
