USM Regents Committee on Finance Meets November 19

 

Adelphi, Md. (Nov. 16, 2009) - The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Finance at its next meeting will take action on the Salisbury University 2009 Facilities Master Plan Update and a request for authorization to construct an environmental information center at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science.

The public meeting is scheduled to begin at approximately 11 a.m. Thursday, November 19 in rooms 2100/2102/2104 on the second floor of the University of Maryland University College Inn and Conference Center.  The center is located at 3501 University Boulevard East in Adelphi.

Before the public meeting, the committee will meet in executive and closed session at 10 a.m.

The current Salisbury University Facilities Master Plan (FMP) is an update of 2003 FMP, which focused on student housing and residence life. Since the plan's approval in 2003, numerous campus construction and renovation projects have been undertaken, including the new Teacher Education and Technology Center. In summer 2009, the university's comprehensive housing renovation project began and will continue during the next five years.

The committee also will hold an informational review of the preliminary report on fall 2009 undergraduate, graduate and first professional enrollment.
