A Senior at Salisbury University, Nathaniel Sansom is a double major studying Conflict Analysis & Dispute Resolution and Political Science within SU's Honors College. A native of Wicomico County, he served as a private sector member of Wicomico's Local Management Board before traveling overseas, as Salisbury University's 2019 Bosserman - UNESCO Fellow, to work within the Social & Human Sciences Sector at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. Following his time in France, Nate moved to Poland and began learning Polish as a Boren Awards Scholar. Serving both at home and abroad as the City of Salisbury's Sister City Liaison, Nate represented the Mayor's Office in Tartu, Estonia and has facilitated the signing of the City's Memorandum of Understanding with Salinas, Ecuador. Furthering his passion for public policy, Nate authored Salisbury's paid family leave program for municipal employees and has contributed to a myriad of local policy initiatives. On the campus of Salisbury University, Nate is proud to serve as the President of Salisbury's United Nations Association chapter and as an SU Presidential Citizen Scholar. Following his undergraduate studies, Nate intends to attend law school to pursue his J.D. At home, he enjoys tending to his small goat farm and spending time with family and friends.
