JOHN L. YOUNG
Montgomery County
Appointed July 2009
President of the Montgomery County Medical Society in 2009 and Chairman of the Board
of Directors of the Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce. A local physician and
businessman for over 25 years, he is an APA Advisor to Montgomery County Executive Ike
Leggett and a member of the Board of Visitors for the Confucius Institute at the
University of Maryland. Dr. Young was a Democratic Nominee for State Delegate in
2002 and has been active in various civic and non-profit activities such as the
Montgomery County PTA and Leadership Montgomery. A Maryland resident for over 40
years, Dr. Young received undergraduate and medical degrees from the University
of Maryland, and completed his medical residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
