The Job Class Specifications are grouped by job families. A job family is a group of job classes representing a general occupational area of the USM. When attempting to locate a specific job, do not confuse the Job Family group with your department or division of employment. For example, employees in a Deans Office might be tempted to look at the Academic Affairs Job Family for jobs within the division of Academic Affairs. However, the office probably has Office Support, Finance, and Budget personnel.
