JOB SUMMARY:

The Community Program Coordinator is responsible to coordinate internal and/or external community activities and functions of a designated program to ensure that goals and objectives for specified community program is accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time limitations, funding limitations or other specifications.


PRIMARY DUTIES


1. Coordinate day-to-day activities of the community program with inter-related activities of other programs, departments, or staff to ensure optimum efficiency and compliance with appropriate policies, procedures and specifications.


2. Manage data collection, keep records of program activities: progress, status, and outcomes, and prepare reports for management.


3. Recruit program participants, members and volunteers utilizing most appropriate promotional or marketing methods, such as individual letters, brochures, or presentations.


4. Assists in the preparation of proposals for funding and/or funding continuation from outside sponsors.


5. Interact and maintain liaison with students, faculty, staff and outside/community agencies in facilitating program objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with community members and partners in order to grow the programming.


6. Schedule, market, and promote events of the program by independently developing promotional marketing materials and event plans.


7. May coordinate, monitor or supervise the activities of work study students, volunteers, and contractual employees.


8. Perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor

EXPERIENCE: One (1) year administrative or program coordination experience.

OTHER:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Knowledge of position requirements. Knowledge of all applicable requirements, regulations, and laws. Skill in effective use of applicable technology/systems. Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written thoughts, ideas, and facts. Ability to work cooperatively with others and independently.

OTHER:

Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
