Way2GoMaryland is the University System of Maryland’s (USM) statewide information campaign to encourage students to begin preparing for college early. It aims to support USM’s commitment to helping Maryland achieve its goal of 55-percent college degree completion (either a two-year associate's or four-year bachelor's degree, attained by 55 percent of the state population 25 years and older).

Since it was launched in 2008, Way2GoMaryland has provided tens of thousands of students across Maryland with critical information about preparing for college. This information has been shared through in-person presentations, college preparation events, and posters. Additionally, through its partnership with First Generation College Bound, Way2GoMaryland has helped middle school students from Prince George’s County get—and stay—on the path to college.

Due to budgetary constraints, Way2GoMaryland is no longer able to offer in-person presentations or staff college preparation events. However, Way2GoMaryland’s free posters, which provide grade-by-grade recommendations on how to prepare for college, are available. An electronic version can be downloaded here.
